Kyle DerhamPartner
Kyle is a Partner of Rice Investment Group. Kyle previously served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Rice Acquisition Corp I which merged with Archaea Energy and Aria Energy to create the world’s largest developer of renewable natural gas in 2021. After the business combination, Kyle served as a Director of Archaea Energy until it was sold to bp in 2022 for $4 billion. Kyle also served as Chief Executive Officer of Rice Acquisition Corp II which merged with NET Power (NYSE: NPWR) in 2023 and he currently serves as a Director.
Kyle, as part of the Rice Team, led the proxy campaign in 2019 to successfully elect a majority slate of director candidates to the board of EQT, the largest operator of natural gas production in the United States. Following the campaign, Kyle served as interim Chief Financial Officer of EQT and thereafter as a strategic advisor to the company from 2020-2022. Kyle previously served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Finance of Rice Energy and Rice Midstream from January 2014 through November 2017.
Prior to joining Rice Energy, Kyle was an associate at First Reserve, an energy focused private equity fund, and prior to that, served as an investment banker at Barclays.
